The blue ocean has a colour that's almost impossible to describe - that deep, shifting blue where the water catches the light just right. I've been trying to capture it in jewellery for years. With the Avery Necklace, I think I got a little closer.
At the heart of this piece sits a 10x8mm oval sky blue topaz gemstone - one of the most beautiful stones I've had the pleasure of working with. It shimmers and shifts with the light, set in recycled sterling silver with a warm 18ct gold vermeil finish that I hope does justice to the beauty of the stone.
The chain was a decision I sat with for a while. Instead of something delicate, I went for a chunky 50cm belcher - substantial and confident, but wearable on its own or layered with finer pieces.
